After Silence

SILENCE can be seen as the absence of sound or as the space in which sound exists, just as inner stillness can be seen as the absence of thought, or the space in which thoughts are perceived.

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

SLEEP

According to Wikipedia, SLEEP is a naturally recurring state of mind and body, characterized by altered consciousness, relatively inhibited sensory activity, inhibition of nearly all voluntary muscles, and reduced interactions with surroundings.
Music has a direct effect on the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps your body relax and prepare for sleep. Music has the power to slow your heart rate and breathing, lower your blood pressure, and it may even trigger your muscles to relax. These biological changes mirror some of the same changes that your body undergoes when you're falling asleep, making music the perfect preparation for restorative slumber.
The most common concern I hear from my baby boomer friends is SLEEP.
Good night!
